The mission statements of SETU include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. To be respectful of other cultures and their fellow members.

2. To promote the culture of the Indian sub-continent.

To operate through the voices and visions of all its members who will elect representatives responsible for running the day-to-day activities for fulfillment of the goals and duties of the organization in a manner respectful not only towards other cultures but also especially towards their fellow members.

4. To support and nurture creativity through music and art.

5. To create an environment that endears and attracts young members of this community to be a part of the group in celebrating our vastly diverse and rich heritage.
